TREES AND THEIR SYMBOLISM
Let us look at trees and their symbolism so we can start to unravel the mystery of the Garden of Eden and the Cedars of Lebanon.
MARK 8:24
And he looked up, and said *, I see men as trees, walking.
Right so his vision is blurry due to his blindness.
Level one and a clue to a deeper hidden meaning.
Please form a mental picture while reading the passage below
JUDGES 9:8
The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.
9:9
But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
9:10
And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.
9:11
But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
9:12
Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.
9:13
And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
Didn’t that form quite a humorous scenario with all these trees
Interacting and speaking to each other?
Look at all the orange highlighted words and note that they are actions not possible to be performed by a tree, therefore we know it is symbolism for something else.
The Lord tells us how to think when we read the Bible, when you look up the word WORD or SAYINGS IN THE New Test it means LOGOS.
Therefore we know we must apply LOGIC.
So logically can a tree move (walk) or speak or reign?
The answer is no, but people can do these things.
Now read the following passage relating it to people (nations)
ISAIAH 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Again look at the red and ask, “ Can trees do these things?”
Logically, absolutely not.
ISAIAH 14:18 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
Note, now God gives tells us that the CEDAR trees are the people of Lebanon. You can actually do a study on this to identify all the trees of the field.
I will just do a broad outline, as my aim is to rather show you the symbolism of trees.
EZEKIEL 17:24And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
SOLOMON 2:3 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
Here the Lord makes a direct correlation between people and Trees.
So now we can see that Trees are actually a symbolism for nations.
EZEKIEL 31:9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
EZEKIEL 31:18
To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
Now note, where are these trees?
In Eden!
So now we know that there were more people in Eden, Adam and Eve where not alone this the Bible backs up many times which I will show you in other posts
We also now know who the “ multitude “ are that Jesus speaks to. (Pharaoh’s people)
Now read MARK 8:14 again and now you see LEVEL 2.
This just goes to show us that we cannot take any word, sentence in the Bible for granted as more often there is a deeper meaning for us to unravel.
LETS TALK FRUIT
GENISES 30:2 And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?
EXODUS 21:22
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished
DEUT 28:4
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
ISAIAH 13:18
Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
So now we can clearly see that when the bible speaks of fruit He is often referring to offspring and children, either of an individual or a nation.
Let me share a symbolic fruit of a nation with you.
So 2:3
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
Out of all the trees( nations) God created, he refers to His beloved as the apple tree. We know that Judah is the most beloved tribe of God's. God uses Zion and Jerusalem as other descriptive words for Judah.
The book of lamentations is solely dedicated to the love God has for Judah and His pain at her downfall.
In the passage below God makes a direct correlation between and apple tree to the people of Judah.
La 2:18
Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
Where does Judah lie ?
Isaiah 18
18:1
Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.......................................7 to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
For those that have ears let them hear.
And so we can go on and on uncovering the symbolic meanings of fruit for different nations.
Go to " what really happened in Eden" thread where this mystery unravels further.
